Education

I attended Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugarland and went on to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Prairie View A&M University in 2006. I started my career in healthcare as a registered nurse in a cardiovascular unit at Memorial Hermann Hospital. I spent the first ten years of my nursing career working in several patient settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home care, working with children and adults.

I completed a master’s in nursing administration in 2012 from Walden University, then went back to Prairie View A & M University to obtain a Post-master certificate as a family nurse practitioner in 2014, and completed the program in 2016. I have worked as a healthcare provider since.

My passion is primary prevention and health maintenance through education and partnership with patients and their families. I strongly believe in creating a positive experience for my patients, especially children as they may fear being in a healthcare setting.

Hobbies

I love spending time with my family, whether in town or out exploring other places.
