Why did you become a PA?
I always loved science going through school and knew that I wanted to work in health care in some capacity. I have also always loved children. Becoming a PA in pediatrics has allowed me to fulfill my dreams of working with children and working in medicine while still being able to spend enough quality time with my family.
How long have you been a PA?
I have been practicing for 21 years.
What is the best thing you enjoy about being a PA or What are you currently excited about in your job?
The thing I enjoy most about being a PA is interacting with children, educating families, and helping to make a difference in the children's lives. Doing all of these things is such a rewarding experience.
What has been your greatest success or accomplishment as a PA?
My greatest success is probably having the ability to continue to learn as my career progresses as well as being able to adapt to change, and I have been practicing at my current office for 16 years, since 2006!
What is the best part of your day?
Interacting with all the kids at work. They crack me up and always manage to put a smile on my face!
What are your hobbies?
Running, walking, going to the gym, traveling, reading, attending sporting events, cooking, watching my daughter do gymnastics, and doing pretty much anything with my awesome family!

Why did you become a PA?
Saw a PA care for Iraqi POWs, US Army soldiers, and Iraqi civilians during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Wanted to save lives instead of taking them.

What is the best thing you enjoy about being a PA or What are you currently excited about in your job?
I enjoy making patients' lives better. Watching kids grow up to become adults is always fun. Being part of a team in healthcare to give a holistic approach to medicine is what makes a patient healthier and improves their quality of life. I love being able to communicate with my Spanish-speaking patients in their language, and being able to connect with most of my patients at their level so that they can better understand what is happening and how to feel better.
What has been your greatest success or accomplishment as a PA?
Watching my patients come off of some or all of their medications by taking my suggestions and implementing them in their lives.
What is the best part of your day?
Coming home to my wife and kids after work.
What are your hobbies?
Competitive bodybuilding, watching sports.
Special Areas of Medical Interest?
Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, weight loss management

Why did you become a PA?
I became a PA to give back to my community by working alongside parents to provide the best healthcare, education and support for their children in order to build lasting relationships to ensure a lifetime of health and wellness.
How long have you been a PA?
9 1/2 years!
What is the best thing you enjoy about being a PA or What are you currently excited about in your job?
The best thing about being a PA is connecting with your patients, families and knowing you somehow made their life better, even if only to heal a runny nose.
What has been your greatest success or accomplishment as a PA?
My greatest accomplishment is being able to listen to patient's concerns and help him or her achieve health and well being. To lend an ear and sit and discuss a parent's concern when no one else would listen.
