On November 21, 2019 Pediatrician, Karla Lluberes from our MD Kids Pediatrics practice at 2750 W Northwest Hwy Ste. #170, Dallas, TX 75220 visited Lumin Education- Bachman Lake and provided employees with significant information about childhood immunizations and the importance of well-child checkups. Aside from your typical presentation, Dr. Lluberes provided childcare givers with extensive insight on the diseases that vaccines prevent, why parents should choose to vaccinate their children and the negative outcomes of not vaccinating.
Well-child checkups are important.
Prevention. Your child gets scheduled immunizations to prevent illness. You also can ask your pediatrician about nutrition and safety in the home and at school.
Tracking growth and development. See how much your child has grown in the time since your last visit, and talk with your doctor about your child’s development. You can discuss your child’s milestones, social behaviors, and learning.
Team approach. Regular visits create strong, trustworthy relationships among pediatricians, parent and child. The AAP recommends well-child visits as a way for pediatricians and parents to serve the needs of children. This team approach helps develop optimal physical, mental and social health of a child.
Dr. Lluberes attended school at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic — Doctor of Medicine, Magna Cum Laude, 2011 and completed her Pediatric Residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Corpus Christi, TX.
